A little over half of the adults in the United States have been administered at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, suggest data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Around 130 million individuals aged 18 years or above have received their first vaccine dose in the country.
This translates to around 50.4% of the total adult U.S. population, according to the agency, which is a milestone for the country. The U.S. had administered 209,406,814 doses of COVID-19 vaccines as of Sunday morning and had distributed 264,505,725 doses, mentioned the CDC. According to the agency, 131,247,546 people had received at least one dose, while 84,263,408 people had received both vaccine doses as of Sunday.
